Mary Sanicola, the founder of Evolving Bridge, is a certified holistic spiritual coach who has been on a spiritual path for 25 years. She meditates daily, attends group meditations, studies spiritual teachings, and practices hatha yoga.
Mary grew up in New York and received an Associate Degree in Occupational Studies. After working in the business world for 8 years, she began to pursue spiritual growth. This led her to become a yoga teacher at various health spas and adult education programs on Long Island. Then Mary moved to Tokyo, Japan, for 2 years, becoming certified in Zen Shiatsu (acupressure). Returning to New York, she attended massage school and received a New York State license in massage therapy. Mary later moved to California where she became certified in Reiki. She has 8 years of current experience as a mental health counselor.
Mary offers these words of spiritual encouragement: “By cultivating a balanced life of material and spiritual goals, I have been given many spiritual gifts. One of them is that I am now living my dream. By working as a spiritual coach, my life’s purpose is being realized – to help others form a vision and harmonize their goals for body, mind, and spirit.”
"Mary is an incredibly spiritual and peaceful person. Her discipline when coaching was really amazing. She would sit there listening to my reactions to my own comments and not make a sound until I eventually realized that I was winding myself up, and with no one to add fire to my flames, my continual complaining was useless.
She would never tell me I was wrong or misguided, she just left me the chance to realize it on my own. After that we would pick up the conversation again in a better frame of mind.”
